Alright, so heres the basis to that. Irish back in the 1900s towards 1980s when teachers were allowed to disown kids in school, Irish was to be learnt off by heart and even spoken everyday or you would be beaten by the teachers and even your own parents. My mum was born into a catholic family and went to a religious school where the nuns and headmasters would beat the girls if they did something wrong (In this case; The Irish Language). So the term "It was beaten into you" actually became real years back.

To today there are a few Irish speaking schools (Gaelscoils) around Ireland, I myself went to a Gaelscoil were we had to do everything in Irish expect for English of course. If you wish to learn Irish for real, you can come to ireland for the summer and sign up to go to Irish Schools/College/Houses, were you literally have to Speak and Text in Irish or you were kicked out. You can go to shops and towns and speak english if youre with friends, but if you're near the House woman of said House, You. Speak. Irish. all the time, no shit.

I love Ireland and the Irish Language. I would love to see more people speaking it if not all people in Ireland to speak it. But sadly its turning into Latin, a "Forgotten Language" Very few people (About 5-15%) know and can speak irish, no matter how bad it is.
